For a 101 proof, it certainly drinks hotter than its proof, but is also incredibly smooth, especially with whiskey cubes to get it cold. This whiskey has an amazing nose on it, and has a hot, sweet start, with a satisfying warm linger and palette covering mouth feel. Very easy to sip, but I also imagine it would do well in a cocktail.
